Text description provided by the architects. We all have a secret passion, and hers was her collection of one hundred and fifty pairs of shoes. With this first confession, a project loaded with functionality and appealing, started to make sense.
This project redefines the concept of dividing wall, and turns this into a storage band that houses a whole personal universe. This band goes all across the dwelling characterizing a number of rooms; hall, living room, kitchen, study and bedroom.
The original layout, which was highly compartmentalized, becomes now void, creating this way a visual and spatial continuity that allows the light coming from the main façade and the two patios to reach all these rooms. Only service rooms stay more private.
Finally, the usage of neutral colours in the finishes, only interrupted by the colour of her personal belongings and furniture, will turn this dwelling into a unique space.
